Entering the Garden of Evening Mists
Intrigued after a friend's recommendation, I bought Tan Twan Eng's Garden of Evening Mists from Kinokuniya one 'wandering' ago at Bugis, and was immediately captivated by the rich, evocative Malaysia described in beautiful prose by the writer, as seen through the eyes of a narrator simmering with memories and bristling with purpose. Can't wait to find the time to continue reading from where I left off!
